Interviews — WHAT'S IN THE BOX
WHAT’S IN THE BOX: FEBRUARY 2017 PICTURE
This month we were thrilled to feature two hardcovers in the Picture Book Box. Both these very talented author/illustrators are from Australia.
The Fabulous Friend Machine by Nick Bland. A charming story about a very friendly chicken named Popcorn. She insists on greeting all the animals every morning on the farm and does her best to brighten everyone’s day.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX: FEBRUARY 2017 BABY
This month, we are pleased to feature three books recently published in a board book format.
Birds by the award-winning husband and wife team of Kevin Henkes and illustrator Laura Dronzek. First published in hardcover in 2009, the New York Times Book Review called it “a perfect book.”
WHAT’S IN THE BOX: JANUARY 2017 MIDDLE GRADE NOVEL
We had two exciting middle grade novels for 8-12 year olds to start the year off.
Journey’s End by Rachel Hawkins. We loved this story of Nolie’s visit with her father to the mysterious and a rather spooky seaside Scottish village of Journey’s End.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX: JANUARY 2017 PICTURE
A new year and two beautiful pictures books to start us off.
Imagine a City by Elise Hurst. Originally published in Australia in 2014, this amazing book has finally made its way to North America. We are new to Elise’s incredible work but will forever be fans.
