We picked two great novels for 8-12 year olds this month and although one of them is the story of how Father Christmas came to be, we really feel that it could be read anytime of the year. Both books would make wonderful read-a-louds.

Santa’s Eleven Months Off is a delightful rhyming book by Mike Reiss from New York. Each double page spread shows Santa’s crazy adventures throughout the year.

Our featured hardcover this month was The Littlest Bigfoot by New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Weiner. If you don’t believe in the legend of Bigfoot, you just might after reading this book.
