Beth Ferry is the author of our September feature book, The Scarecrow. She is a New York Times best-selling picture book author who lives with her family in New Jersey.  MARMALADE BOOKS (MB): The Scarecrow is a very special book. From the first time I read it, I knew it was destined to win many awards. Can you tell us what inspired you to write about a scared crow and a scarecrow?
